Allia (river)

The Allia river was a tributary of the Tiber, but is now unlocated. It joined the Tiber some 18 km (11 miles) north of Rome and was most famous as the site of a battle in which the Romans were defeated by Brennus and the Gauls ca. 387 B.C.
