Wadi Qitna

burial ground · 300 AD – 850 AD

Late Roman-Early Byzantine cemetery at the point where the Wadi Qitna met the Nile. The graves were tumuli and covered 1200 meters. The site was deluged upon the creation of the High Aswan Dam.
