Album Ingaunum/Albingaunum

The fourth century B.C. capital of the Ingauni Ligures sided with Carthage during the Punic War but was reduced by Lucius Aemilius Paullus Macedonicus in 181 B.C. A treaty was struck with Rome; the city received Roman citizenship in 45 B.C.
