Beaufort Castle, Lebanon

Beaufort Castle (Qal'at al-Shaqif) is a castle dating from 1139. It served as a Crusader fortress in the twelfth century. It is located at an elevation of 700 meters above the Litani River gorge in southern Lebanon.
