City Wall of Dura-Europos

wall · 200 BC – 300 AD

The fortified wall encircling the city of Dura-Europos built primarily of locally-quarried ashlar limestone blocks. Built ca. 150 BCE, the walls were breached in 256 CE and went out of use thereafter.
