Mound at Banāt al-Hassan (Adams 134)

Part of a group of mounds in central Mesopotamia, these small settlements represented by a series of scattered mounds a kilometer in length (collectively numbered 134 in Adams 1972) contain remains dated to the Parthian, Sassanian, and Islamic periods.
