Colerne

The remains of a Romano-British villa with at least 12 rooms were first uncovered via ploughing in 1838 on a tract of land called "The Allotment" near Colerne, Wiltshire, England. Excavations took place in 1854. Fragments of an inscribed mosaic reading either "Servivs" or "Severvs" were documented at the site.
