Paiania Hypenerthen

A deme located to the east of Mt. Hymettus. The site is located on the eastern outskirts of modern Liopesi. The epithet "Lower" ("Hypenerthen") distinguished it from the small Upper Paiania, but the two formed a single entity for many purposes.
