Casae

Modern Henchir el Beguar/Begar, an archaeological site located in the Tunisian governorate of Kasserine. Inscriptions of the second century CE found here in the 19th century authorized the holding of regular markets at Casae and demonstrate that it was probably the principal settlement of the Saltus Beguensis, a Roman senatorial estate.
