Punta Milazzese

A prehistoric village was situated on the promontory of Punta Milazzese at Panarea in Sicily. This Middle Bronze Age village (fourteenth to thirteenth centuries BCE) was identified in 1948 by Luigi Bernabò Brea. Excavations were carried out in 1949-1950 and again in 2008-2009. The material culture of the site results in the eponymous "Milazzese culture".
