Khirbet Qeiyafa, also known as Elah Fortress, is an Iron Age fortress site located about 40 kilometers southwest of Jerusalem, overlooking the Elah Valley. The site was likely constructed in the late eleventh century BCE and destroyed or abandoned in the mid- to late tenth century BCE.
