Circus Maximus Mithraeum
temple · 30 BC – 2100 AD
A mithraeum adjacent to the Circus Maximus and facing the carceres of the same was located at the margin of the Forum Boarium and now situated beneath a building in the via dell'Ara Massima. The site was excavated in 1931.
