Kammanu/Meliddu (kingdom)

A kingdom in eastern Anatolia, whose capital is classical Melitene (modern Arslantepe). Meliddu, which is sometimes referred to as Kammanu, was conquered by the eighth-century-BC Assyrian king Sargon II and its territory was given to Kummuhu.
