Qal’at Sem’an/Church of Saint Simeon Stylites

The monastery of Saint Simeon Stylites, located ca. 30 km northwest of Aleppo, Syria, is one of the oldest surviving Byzantine churches and dates to the fifth century. The church is built on the site of the pillar of St. Simeon Stylites.
