Permanently incorporated in 1927 at this location. Approx population in 1927 was 2500. Dr. Alfred E. Blake, a dentist, was elected mayor. Lawyer James T. O’Keefe was made city attorney and John Ryan, owner of Menlo Park Hardware, was city treasurer.
