This place was created for Barrington Atlas map 43 (A2 no. 1) as a collective place representing ancient Etruscan necropoleis associated with the ancient city of Caere. While the Banditaccia necropolis is the largest and perhaps most well-known, this collective place should also include the Sorbo necropolis, the Monte Abatone necropolis, and the Greppe S. Angelo necropolis.
